Swami Beyondananda Performance
Swami Beyondananda is a highly acclaimed keynote speaker and performer whose specialty is using mind-opening comedy to create heart-opening laughter. For the past 23 years, the Swami (in reality humorist and author Steve Bhaerman) has performed at conferences and conventions, for business groups and at spiritual centers, at theaters, community centers and new thought churches. Swami's comedy has been described both as "comedy disguised as wisdom" and "wisdom disguised as comedy." A unique feature of his performance is spontaneously answering live questions from the audience. Or, as the Swami puts it, "I will answer your questions, and you will question my answers!"
Swami's performance is perfect for community gatherings, because his appeal is diverse -- bridging the spiritual, holistic health, yoga, environmental, green business and peace communities. As an "insider," Swami pokes gentle fun at our foibles, and leaves the audience with a positive message, and a positive feeling. While the show is hilariously funny, it not only leaves 'em laughing, it leaves them smiling. Bottom line: Swami's performance is perfect for those who love to laugh ... and those who need to.
The evening performance can last anywhere from 45 minutes to 90 minutes (two 45 minute sets, with a break in the middle). The entire second half of Swami's performance consists of questions and answers. Sometimes a musical or comedy act resonant with the Swami does a 15 or 20 minute opening set.

Spontaneous Evolution co-author Steve Bhaerman hosts this community event designed to activate the two characteristics of evolution: awareness and community. The first hour of this three hour event is about expanding awareness, as Steve offers a powerfully pointed Power Point presentation on how the principles of Spontaneous Evolution are already being put into action. The second hour is about building community, as participants break into groups of four to "tell a vision" for themselves, their community and their world. In the final hour, these visions are shared, as the whole group chooses to empower one or more of these visions with their ongoing participation.
